Transform Your Living Room Into A Stadium With A Few Football Decorations!

Why is it that most Super Bowl or football themed parties always skip out on good football decorations to set the mood and instead focus on ordering expensive or exorbitant food for people to eat while they watch the game? Good food is certainly appreciated by almost everybody, but at the same time there is much to be said about setting the right tone of the event with some well chosen decorations. It only takes a little creativity and effort to transform your living room into a personal stadium with the best bleachers you will ever sit on.

The key to transforming your home into a pre-game paradise lies in choosing the right football decorations without blowing a hole in your wallet (after all, you still need to get food and beer!). Start by working on the background for the event by purchasing some inexpensive stadium wallpaper rolls to tape up around the living room. These decorative rolls feature scenes of crowd filled stadiums to set a good backdrop, and usually sell for under $15 for each 30 foot roll. Adding a stadium scene backdrop will drastically change the atmosphere of the party, particularly if you fill in some of the details with other easy props.

Cover the table with a green tablecloth (or spring for a football field table cloth) and some inflatable goal posts on either end of the hors d’oeuvres trays. Add some pennants and flags for your favorite teams or the teams playing in the game and you have a complete scene ready to go already. You can add further accents by wrapping some football lights around the doorway or by adding a cardboard cutout of your favorite player for effect.
